Global Industrie Paris: the 2020 edition will not take place
Faced with an unprecedented health crisis, the French government took strict measures as of the beginning of March to limit the spread of COVID 19, and the French President has just announced the extension of these measures. These decisions make it impossible to hold the major exhibitions like Global Industrie, as scheduled in the first half of 2020.
Given the impossibility of predicting how the health and socioeconomic situation will develop, and also in the aftermath of the measures announced by the French President, it is with deep sadness but also with a strong sense of responsibility that GL events has taken the decision not to organise Global Industrie Paris in 2020.
Thus, to enable its exhibitors and its teams to prepare for the next edition of the show as effectively as possible, GL events announces as of now the holding of Global Industrie at Lyon Eurexpo from the 16th to the 19th of March 2021. This highly ambitious edition will be followed by a return to Paris, in accordance with the usual alternation, in March 2022.
Sébastien Gillet, director of Global Industrie, said : “I wish first of all to thank our customers and our institutional partners for their commitment, their loyalty and their attachment to our exhibitions, and then of course our service providers and our teams for all the energy they have deployed in this exceptionally difficult context. The period we are going through requires us to make complex but necessary decisions. I remain convinced however that our decisions are the most appropriate ones for each situation. More than ever, our values of business and conviviality will take on their full meaning. I thank the ministerial authorities who are standing with us during this complicated period and who have reasserted their support for our events”.
We look forward to seeing you in March 2021 in Lyon in order to celebrate our industry together!
